About me
2011 Orange Ghost
It all started for me when I was very young digging through ditches and flipping over wood to find any kind of critter I could. My love for reptiles kicked into high gear when I was taken to the Memphis Zoo, I spent most of the day in the Herpetarium. I caught my first snake in an old rotten tree stump, I was 8 years old doing my local paper route. It was a Rough Green Snake and at the time, the most amazing creature I had ever seen in person.
Skip ahead a few years when I was 15, I was in Texas playing baseball for a traveling team. I was a pitcher and ended up damaging my shoulder very bad, still can't really throw a baseball to this day. Anyways, I found what I thought to be the perfect snake in a pet store. Before I made my trip back to Arkansas i talked to my parents and they agreed to buy me a Ball Python when I returned home. Who knew it would have led to this, well atleast to the start of it.
I got my first Ball Python back in 2000 and as I said I was 15. By the time I was 20 I had a nice little collection of Normals, Het Albinos, and a couple Pastels. Keep in mind, Albinos were quite expensive back then. I had 2 successful breeding seasons but at the end of 2006 I decided to join the Marine Corps and shipped out to boot camp in January of 2007, so I sold off my collection. I was honorably discharged in January of 2011 after 2 combat deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. I have recently been building up my collection to get started back into breeding Ball Pythons. I am also currently using my GI Bill to go to college, I will be majoring in Business and by then I should be a full time breeder. Atleast that is the plan.
